
Biografía
Kate Orton-Johnson is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests relate to intersections between technology, culture and everyday life. She has conducted ethnographic research on student use of Digital technologies and social media in HE and her currently work focuses on the ways in which we "detox" ourselves from social media and the processes and meanings of disconnecting from digital culture. She also publishes on Digital leisure, in particular blogging and vlogging. This work currently focuses on the ways in which Motherhood is articulated represented and resisted online.
