Matthew Thompson researches the nature of visual expertise in forensics and medicine, towards improving safety-critical decision making. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Queensland. Matthew was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles, and an Endeavour Fellow at Harvard Medical School. He collaborates with major Australian police agencies and has a research background in medicine, defence, and air traffic control.
