Ruth is a native of New York City, where she spent five years as a user experience (UX) designer before moving to Munich and making her love of writing and the English language into her full-time career. Today, she balances her role as a staff member at TUM, where she teaches business English and thesis writing and coordinates the English Writing Center in Garching, with her work as a freelance writer and editor. Ruth has a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Bard College, and she achieved her CELTA certification in 2015.
