Anastasios Kouvelas

Anastasios Kouvelas is the Director of the research group Traffic Engineering at the Institute for Transport Planning and Systems (IVT) at ETH Zurich. Prior to joining ETH, he was a Research Scientist at Urban Transport Systems Laboratory (LUTS), EPFL and a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley. He received the Diploma, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Production & Management Engineering (Operations Research), Technical University of Crete, Greece. He is specializing in modeling, control, and optimization of large-scale transport systems.
