Major works

Her notable contributions include developing a new classification algorithm to perform classification of tree species using high-resolution satellite data and improving machine learning models for agriculture applications. She previously worked as a Data Scientist majorly focussing on improvising and optimizing machine learning methods. Currently, she is working under the Alaska NSF EPSCoR Fire and Ice project and working on identifying state-of-art technologies to improve boreal wildfire fuel maps.

About me

Dr. Anushree Badola is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Extension, University of Alaska Fairbanks, USA. She earned her Ph.D. from the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and completed her Master’s in Geoinformatics from the University of Twente, Netherlands, and IIRS, ISRO, Dehradun. She has been actively doing research work in the domain of Remote Sensing application for Forestry & Agriculture with specialization in Hyperspectral Remote Sensing and Python & R based Image Processing.
