Caroline holds a Bachelor Degree in Food and Human Nutrition from Newcastle Upon Tyne and a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from the University College London. A nutrition scientist for Abbott Laboratories, Caroline is currently responsible for supporting collaborations for the Abbott Nutrition Health Institute. At Abbott, Caroline works as a product specialist, focusing on conditions such as muscle wasting, swallowing difficulties and malnutrition. Prior to her role at Abbott, Caroline was implementing large scale food fortification programs in developing countries. This work involved adding essential micronutrients such as folic acid and iron to staple foods like wheat flour, edible oil, salt, so as to help prevent conditions like spina bifida and anaemia.
