Colleen McLinn directs Cornell University’s Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) programs, housed within its graduate school. She prepares graduate students and postdocs for successful academic careers through development of key skills such as teaching, communication, and research mentorship. McLinn coordinates Cornell’s participation in the CIRTL Network, and serves on the operations group responsible for all CIRTL Network future faculty programming. She teaches graduate courses and workshops online and in person, and previously designed an eCornell course on bird behavior for lifelong learners. She is a co-investigator on a National Science Foundation Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate project seeking to diversify U.S. STEM faculty through improved graduate climate. McLinn received a PhD in ecology, evolution, and behavior from the University of Minnesota.
