Constance Chen

About Me

Constance Chen is a Programmer in Dr. Peter Kraft’s research group at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Ms. Chen has been the primary data manager and analyst for the Nurses’ Health Study (NHS) and Health Professionals’ Follow-up Study (HPFS) GWAS data since 2007. Ms. Chen has extensive experience cleaning GWAS data and running imputation analyses, using several versions of HapMap and 1KGP reference panels. She recently completed imputation of over 15,000 subjects from the NHS and HPFS genotyped on several GWAS platforms to the latest release of the 1KGP. Ms. Chen also has extensive experience providing guidance on programming and analysis to postdoctoral fellows and students analyzing the NHS and HPFS GWAS data. Ms. Chen is responsible for maintaining the NHS and HPFS GWAS databases and updating them as new GWAS data or now imputation reference panels become available.
