About Me

Dr. Yamamori is an associate professor at the Department of Environmental Veterinary Medical Sciences, Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine at Hokkaido University. Before coming to Hokkaido University, he was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Life and Medical Sciences, Doshisha University. He completed his Ph.D at Hokkaido University, and post-doctoral fellowships at Johns Hopkins University and University of Pittsburgh. His research interests include: the role of mitochondria and redox regulation in cellular radio responses, the effect of ionizing radiation on cellular metabolism, development of novel methods to manipulate radiosensitivity of normal and tumor cells, and the role of tumor-stroma communication in cancer radiotherapy.
