About Me

She has spent 20 years building, growing and investing in start-ups as an entrepreneur and business angel. In her role as Professor of Entrepreneurship, the field of social entrepreneurship inspired her to dedicate her time and research into organizations and initiatives contributing to the development of the ‘impact economy’, mobilizing capital and resources towards business models with positive social and environmental returns. Hedda sits on the boards of the European Business Angel Network (chairing EBAN Impact), LBAN, Chameleon Invest, Rising Tide Europe and Rising Tide Africa (co-investment funds designed for growing the pool of women investors and supporting gender-lens investing). She is advisor to the Luxembourg government on Sustainable Development (CSDD) and sits on the advisory board of the Vodafone Institute F-Lane Accelerator and Equilibre, a Think Tank for Gender Complementarity. Her previous board positions include European Venture Philanthropy Association and Luxembourg Microfinance and Development Fund – organizations she still actively supports alongside her TONIIC 100% membership. She is Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship at the Jack Welsh Shool of Business, Sacred Heart University and lectures on Social Innovation and Social Enterprise at the University of Luxembourg. Hedda is an Executive Fellow at Essex University
