Kelly Boles is the National Secondary Mathematics Coach for Teach for America, a mathematics teacher in Eastern KY, and an AP Statistics exam reader. She has taught for six years in the secondary mathematics classroom, where her focus is in geometry, AP Statistics, and computer programming. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University and formerly worked in International Trade Law. Kelly is an educational technology and blended learning specialist. Her interests lie at the intersection of mathematics and computing, specifically in making mathematical thinking visual and interactive as well as connecting and using multiple representations to teach mathematical ideas. She is also passionate about teaching mathematics through the lens of global social justice and equity. Kelly has twice served on LearnZillion's National Dream Team of teachers, been featured as an innovative educator by Digital Promise and the US Department of Education, served on learning visit teacher interview panels for the Gates Foundation, and has spoken and conducted trainings at various learning and technology conferences around the country.
