Kriselle Lou Suson Jónsdóttir
Cultural Mediator and Bilingual Counsellor at Reykjavík City - Department of Education and Youth
Kriselle received her B.A. degree in International Studies in Education from the University of Iceland in 2013 and master’s degree on Diversity and Education Studies at the same university in 2017. Apart from her work as a cultural mediator at the Reykjavík department of education and youth, she is also an educational researcher at the university of Iceland. Her studies are mainly focused on education and linguistic diversity in Iceland. She was born and raised in the Philippines and has lived in Iceland since she was 15. She and her husband are currently raising their plurilingual son and her family’s daily languages include English, Filipino, Icelandic and Spanish. She also volunteers in teaching Filipino to bilingual children on Saturdays at móðurmál – the association on bilingualism.
