Mennat Labib is currently doing her PhD at the University of Edinburgh. She obtained her BSc in Chemical Engineering and her MSc in Renewable Energy from the British University in Egypt. She is part of the Carbon Capture and Storage Group at the Institute for Energy Systems. Her research interests include both post-combustion and direct air carbon capture with a focus on carbon utilisation. Before joining the University of Edinburgh, Mennat taught undergraduate Chemical Engineering full-time at the British University of Egypt for five years. She also taught several courses in the Mechanical and Petroleum and Gas Technology Engineering departments.
