Coordinator for Postdoctoral Scholar and CIRTL Programs at University at Buffalo
Monica Carter is the Postdoctoral Scholar and CIRTL Programs Coordinator at The University at Buffalo. She has developed training programs to advance teaching excellence in higher education for over 15 years. In her current role, she engages faculty, postdocs, graduate students and staff, in building a community centered on effective teaching practice. Some of the programs included in this community are: Conferences for Graduate Teaching Assistants; Effective Teaching Seminars, Postdoctoral Teaching Training for Academic Careers; the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning at UB ([email protected]) certification program; and CIRTL learning community meetings. In addition to the field of teaching and learning, Monica is interested in leadership and creativity, and holds an Executive MBA from the University at Buffalo. Monica lives in Buffalo, NY with her spouse, children and two loving dogs with wild personalities.
