About Me

Noboru is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Tokyo. He received his Ph.D. in 1996 in Graduate School of Medicine at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. He started works on autophagy in yeast in Dr. Yoshinori Ohsumi’s laboratory and is now working on the physiological role and molecular mechanisms of autophagy in mammals and other model organisms.
