The results of his work have been published in numerous papers in international and local technical journals, such as Nature, Science, Journal of Geophysical Research, Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research, Bulletin of Volcanology, and Jökull. About Me

Páll studied physics at the University in Göttingen, Germany, then geophysics, seismology and structural geology at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University in New York, where he got his PhD in 1975. Since then he has conducted research at the Science Institute, University of Iceland, and has been a professor at the Faculty of Earth Sciences since 1994.
