Richard H. Taylor received a BS and MS degree in Physics from Brigham Young University and a PhD in Materials Science from Duke University. A primary focus of Dr. Taylor's graduate research was crystal symmetry and materials structure-properties relationships. As a graduate student, he worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD, USA as part of the Materials Genome Initiative, a nationally funded effort to advance materials-based knowledge and innovation. Dr. Taylor is an active researcher and is currently a Visiting Lecturer in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
