Takeaki Ozawa

Takeaki Ozawa has been professor of chemistry, at the Department of Chemistry, School of Science, the University of Tokyo since 2007. He earned a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Tokyo and received his PhD in 1998 from the same University. His research interest is to explore new optical methods to deepen understanding of biological systems and to break new ground in application to the world of life. He received the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Prize (2010), Young Scientists Award from Minister of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology) (2005), and The Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ) Awards for Young Chemists (2004).
