Head of Chair of Urban Design and Institute for Urban Design and European Urbanism at RWTH Aachen University
Prof. Christa Reicher is Head of Chair of Urban Design and Institute for Urban Design and European Urbanism. From 1979 to 1987 she studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University and ETH Zurich, where she received her Bachelor and Master’s Degree of Architecture. Since then she has been collaborating on various planning projects. Between 1990-1996, she worked as a Research Assistant with Prof. G. Curdes at the Chair of Urban and Regional Planning at RWTH Aachen. In 1993, together with Dipl.-Ing. Haase, she founded the planning office Rha Reicher Haase Architects + Urban Planners in Aachen and is currently CEO of the planning office.
Between 1996-1998 she was part of various lectureships for urban renewal and urban design at the RWTH Aachen, FH Frankfurt, FH Trier. Between 1998-2002 he was a professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Bochum University of Applied Sciences and between 2002-2018 at the Faculty of Spatial Planning of Dortmund Technical University. Since 2018, she has been a Professor at the "Chair in Urban Design and Institute for Urban Design and European Urbanism" at the Faculty of Architecture, RWTH Aachen University.
