Eric Miller is a PhD student in the lab of Hadley Sikes, in the Chemical Engineering department at MIT. His initial interest in biomanufacturing developed at Stanford University, the result of a fascinating summer internship in the Late-Stage Protein Purification department at Genentech. He has since brought this interest to bear upon medical diagnostics, and is now working to produce novel, thermostable binding proteins for incorporation into immunochromatographic tests for infectious disease.
