Admissions

Admissions to the Master of Project and Program Management (Online) is highly competitive. Professionals who take part in the program are equipped to lead teams in a variety of industries.


Applicants to the Master of Project and Program Management online need to have and be able to show proof of: a bachelor’s degree from Australia, or an overseas equivalent; and two years of relevant work experience.


Learners without a bachelor’s degree can apply after completing a Graduate Certificate in Project and Program Management with a 65 percent average, or a Graduate Certificate in Program Management with a 65 percent average. Both certificates are available through the University of Sydney. 


Applicants without the above credentials can still be considered. If you are unsure if you meet the qualifications, send your CV to an admissions adviser. 


Applicants interested in both the master’s degree and the graduate certificate must submit the following:

  • Transcripts

  • TOEFL/IELTS scores (for international applicants)

  • Résumé or CV

  • Proof of residency (passport or citizen certificate, evidence of citizenship, IMMI card, or international student status)

Learners in the program are all professionals. For this reason, the program gives them the opportunity to use their own work-related experience to carry out a project or initiative that focuses on a specialized area that interests them the most, and that they can immediately implement.

The capstone experience applies and integrates what learners have gained from their coursework to large-scale projects and real-world environments.

Learners also have the option to complete an online Project and Program Management Graduate certificate, which provides the foundations for project and program management over the course of 24 credits. The certificate can be taken over the course of one semester full time, or over a year part time.
