Analytics@American is dedicated to ensuring learners graduate ready for success in their analytics roles; for this very reason, practicums are an integral part of the program. During these practicums, learners meet with corporate partners, business leaders, and classmates while working on a capstone project.

All Analytics@American learners must participate in two practicums, each worth 1.5 credit hours. The first practicum is virtual, and learners work on understanding a company’s problem, the data, and how to prepare the data. The second practicum is in-person and takes place in Washington, D.C., where learners model, analyze and deploy the data to the business they’ve been working with.
