2020年にスタートした東京工業大学超スマート社会卓越教育院ではその社会の実現に向け、様々な分野を融合した研究や新しい形の教育を目指しています。 あらゆるもののスマート化が進み、全ての人にとって暮らしやすい理想の社会。 無人のトラクターが広大な畑を耕し、自動運転のバスやトラックが人や物を運び、アバターロボットが介護をする。そんな未来社会はすぐそこまで来ています。 このコースでは、東京工業大学 で進められている「超スマート社会」の実現に向けた研究を紹介します。


Haven’t heard of the word “Super Smart” or “Super Smart Society”before?

Imagine a world where unmanned tractors plow vast fields, automated buses and trucks transport people and goods, and avatar robots provide nursing care. This is the picture of the “Super Smart Society, perhaps better known as “Society 5.0.”

Tokyo Tech Academy for Super Smart Society, launched in 2020, aims to offer interdisciplinary research research and a new type of education. In this course, you will learn about some of the undergoing research at Tokyo Tech in view of theSuper Smart Society”.

Researchers of Research & Education Fields at Tokyo Tech Academy for Super Smart Society discuss issues and introduce their research towards the “Super Smart Society.”

  • Networked robotics

Learners will learn about the social issues that each of the above research fields is trying to solve, and how researchers are trying to solve those issues through scientific and technological innovation, through explanations of two specific examples of research.

Who can take this course?

Unfortunately, learners residing in one or more of the following countries or regions will not be able to register for this course: Iran, Cuba and the Crimea region of Ukraine.
