The Macquarie Group Scholarship Program

Thank you for your interest in applying for The Macquarie Group Scholarship. In the wake of COVID-19, the Macquarie Group has established this scholarship to support economic recovery by assisting learners seeking skills-based programming on edX. 

We welcome applications from all learners and want to know more about the learners we serve. We would appreciate your answers to all of the following questions. Your answers will be used for the purpose of application evaluation and program development, and for this scholarship, preference will be given to learners from low-income and underrepresented groups in Australia, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States. 

Some of the questions are required for the application, and some are voluntary. If you choose to respond, your information will be stored confidentially by edX. Your information will only be shared anonymously and in aggregate to help describe the scope and impact of our programs in reports to organizations and business partners that provide support to our programs, and in marketing. By submitting this scholarship application form, you consent to edX having access to and using your personal data for the purposes of processing your scholarship application in accordance with edX's Privacy Policy.

FAQs

  • edX’s financial assistance program offers up to a 90% discount on our verified certificates to learners who cannot afford to pay full price. Assistance is available in most courses that offer verified certificates, however, a few courses and programs are not eligible. The Macquarie Group Scholarship covers 100% of the cost of an edX course (excluding Master's Degree and Executive Education courses).
  • Preferential grants will be awarded to learners in the US, India, UK, and Australia. Learners who are underserved, who are out of work, or at risk of losing their jobs in industries that are more impacted by COVID.
  • Once your application has been submitted we will notify you within 6-8 weeks to let you know if you have received the scholarship funds or have been denied. An edX team member will reach out to you individually.

  • Yes. edX has launched a $10 million campaign in support of scholarships. Corporations, foundations, and individual philanthropists will have the opportunity to be a key part of our campaign by establishing named scholarships at edX targeted at broad groups, geographic regions, and specific area content.
  • In the wake of COVID-19, the Macquarie Group has established this scholarship and committed $1 million dollars in funds to support economic recovery by assisting learners seeking skills-based programming on edX. Preference will be given learners from low-income and underrepresented groups in Australia, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
  • The money you receive as part of the Macquarie Group Scholarship can be used for any course (excluding Master's Degree and Executive Education courses) offered on edX.
  • You will receive a unique scholarship coupon code to be used within 90 days of receiving the approval for the scholarship. This code is unique and should not be shared with anyone other than yourself.
