The ultimate goal of Web3 Foundation is to facilitate Web3, a decentralized and fair internet where users control their own data, global digital transactions are secure, and online exchanges of information and value are decentralized.
Web3 Foundation’s flagship protocol is the Polkadot layer-0 blockchain network. Polkadot and its canary network Kusama secure and support interoperability for heterogenous blockchains. Both networks are built with Substrate, a modular framework that enables the creation of purpose-built blockchains by composing custom or pre-built components.
