United Arab Emirates University

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) was established in 1976 by the founding President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as the first comprehensive national university in the United Arab Emirates. The University is in the city of Al Ain, 75 miles from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with off campus locations in Dubai and Abu-Dhabi. UAEU faculty consists of around 947 faculty members and instructors in 11 colleges offering more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs to approximately 13,078 students as of fall 2019.

UAEU is committed to innovation in teaching and learning, it restructured its Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) to promote and support the adoption of innovative and emerging teaching pedagogies which are supported by up-to-date instructional technologies.
