Alberto Salleo

About me

Alberto Salleo is Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University, and Chair of the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the School of Engineering. He recieved his Laurea degree in Chemistry from the University of Rome (Italy) in 1994. He received his M.S. (1998) and Ph.D. (2001) in Materials Science from UC Berkeley investigating optical breakdown in fused silica. He spent three years at the Palo Alto Research Center as a postdoc and one as a member of the research staff in the Electronic Materials Laboratory before joining the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University in 2005.
