Alex Ho

He is currently an Economist at the African Department of the IMF. He joined the IMF in September 2014 through the Economist Program first serving in the Institute of Capacity Development (ICD). Before joining the IMF, he worked at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) for five and half years. He has research interests in the implication of financial market development on inequality, financial market spillovers, and macro–financial linkages to monetary economics. He holds a Ph.D. from Boston University.
