About me

Annemarie is an Associate Professor at the Knowledge Technology & Innovation group at the Wageningen University. She was involved in a large PhD project to create ‘Environmental Virtual Observatories for Connective Action (EVOCA) in crop, water, livestock and disease management in Africa.

Her main interest concerns the role of citizens in different phases of CS projects, ensuring responsible innovation and development in the life science domains. How to shape CS communication, collaboration or co-creation in a fair and feasible manner? How to identify needs, mobilise knowledge and capacities of stakeholders to create insight and action on the issue-at-stake in a way that also serves the interest of marginalized? What type of monitoring & evaluation approaches help us to know the intended and unintended impact of our activities, to learn and adapt our research and innovation activities for an improved societal impact?
