Ava KWONG

Professor Ava Kwong is Daniel CK Yu Professor in Breast Cancer Research and Clinical Professor of Department of Surgery at The University of Hong Kong. Chief of Division of Breast Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital, Tung Wah Hospital and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. Founder and Chairperson of the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry. She is also currently a member of several committees specializing in Cancer Genetics & Colorectal and Breast Cancer Screening, in the HKSAR Government. Professor Kwong’s research interests focus on breast and ovarian cancer genetics, advanced surgical technologies, epidemiology, psychosocial studies and clinical trials in oncological treatment.
