Beatriz Garcia-Ortega is an Associate Professor in the Departament of Business Organisation at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). She holds a PhD in Business Administration from UPV , along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s in International Product and Service Management , both also from UPV. Additionally, she holds also a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the Universitat de València (UV) and a Master's Degree in Toxicology and Risk Assessment (UV). Profile UPV
With more than 20 years of experience in management positions within the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, and as a member of the Laboratory for Eco-Innovation, Circular Economy, and Industrial Symbiosis at UPV, Garcia-Ortega combines corporate expertise with academic rigor in her research on sustainable fashion. Her work critically examines the ethical and strategic dimensions of sufficiency in business and design, while also investigating the orchestration of circular ecosystems in the textile industry.
She has presented her research at leading international conferences , including the Sustainable Consumption Research and Action Initiative (SCORAI) , EUROMA and ACEDE and has published in high-impact academic journals such as Business Ethics: A European Review , Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management: An International Journal and Business Strategy and the Environment.
