Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Burkhard Corves has been institute director of the Institute of Mechanism Theory, Machine Dynamics and Robotics of RWTH Aachen University since 2000. He has been teaching Machine Dynamics at RWTH Aachen University for more than 20 years and within his scientific career, he published over 300 papers and was chair of different scientific conferences. During his industrial career, he developed and analyzed several machines regarding their dynamic behavior.
