About me

Dale is an applied sport scientist with a research focus across three broad domains in sport, older adults and clinical rehabilitation. His applied sports research involves searching for practical solutions to problems that are limiting an athlete’s performance or their development into elite athletes. The research with older adults is through the use of applied strength and conditioning to improve daily life and function. While his clinical research is concerned with optimising the rehabilitation process for people who suffer from ACL injury. Across these domains investigations are primarily this is in the broad area of muscle and exercise physiology, however he utilises all sport science disciplines to interpret and translate findings across topics such as neuromuscular fatigue and adaptation, exercise induced muscle damage, applied strength and conditioning science, tendon and muscle response to training, postural control and balance, athlete and special population characterisation.
