About me

Mathieu Lucquiaud has worked on Carbon Capture and Storage since 2005, at Imperial College London, the University of Edinburgh – where he started this course in 2018 - and the University of Sheffield. He is a visiting Professor at the University of Edinburgh and Professor of ‘Clean Energy with Carbon Capture and Storage’ in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

His research work focuses on developing close-to-market and novel technologies for carbon dioxide capture in electricity, hydrogen and heavy manufacturing, and the use of CCS to remove excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. He teaches thermodynamics and carbon capture technologies to undergraduate and MSc engineering students at the University of Sheffield.
