Roy Nelson

Dr. Roy C. Nelson is an Associate Professor at Thunderbird School of Global Management, as well as Academic Director of Thunderbird’s Undergraduate Programs. Dr. Nelson is recognized as an authority on the global business environment, global political economy, international business-government relations, foreign direct investment, and the business environment of Latin America. His industry experience includes working at Pharmacia & Upjohn Corporation (later acquired by Pfizer) in São Paulo, Brazil, and as a consultant for the World Bank, the Chilean government, and numerous corporations. Other projects have taken Dr. Nelson to the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. He has taught material related to this course to executives in corporations around the world. Dr. Nelson received his B.A. (with Honors) from Stanford University, his M.A. from Yale University, and his Ph.D. from Cornell University.
