About Me

Dr. Kozaki is a Professor of Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University. He has conducted research mainly on radioactive waste management, nuclear reactor materials, and decommissioning of nuclear facility at Hokkaido University. He has also been developing a capacity building program under a project funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan since 2011, on the environmental radioactivity, the disposal of radioactive waste, and the decommissioning. He received his bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D degrees from Hokkaido University. He participated in the decommissioning project of Japan Power Demonstration Reactor (JPDR) from 1988-1990, and was a visiting scholar at University of California, Berkeley in 2003.
