Edward Anderson is Wright Centennial Professor for Management of Innovative Technology at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. Anderson researches supply chain management innovation, agile product development, and performance improvement in industries including smartphones, healthcare, and the Internet of Things. He is a Fellow of the Production and Operations Management Society and is the recipient of the Jay W. Forrester Research Award. He has been an editor for supply chain management, information systems, and public policy at top academic journals. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford and his Ph.D. in management from MIT. Prior to academia, Anderson was a practicing embedded software engineer in the automotive industry. He holds six industrial patents.
