Fathali M. Moghaddam

Fathali M. Moghaddam is Professor, Department of Psychology, Georgetown University, and Editor-in-Chief of Peace and Conflict: Journal of Peace Psychology (American Psychological Association). Moghaddam was born in Iran, educated from an early age in England, and worked for the United Nations and McGill University before joining Georgetown University in 1990. He has published extensively on radicalization, intergroup conflict, and the psychology of dictatorship and democracy. His most recent book is 'The Psychology of Dictatorship' (2013), which received Honorable Mention, 2013 Prose Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence. Moghaddam has received a number of recognitions for his scholarly contributions, the most recent being the Outstanding International Psychologist Award for 2012 from the American Psychological Association’s Division of International Psychology.
