Lecturer at Lehmag
Felix Hilgert, during his civil engineering studies at ETH Zurich, he specialized in clay as a building material. In his master's thesis entitled "Excavated material as a new building material resource for Zurich", he investigated the potential of local, regenerative materials in an urban context.
After completing his studies, he gained practical experience at Boltshauser Architekten AG, where he worked in planning and project organization and was able to deepen his specialist knowledge of earth. During this time, he also became a research assistant to Prof. Roger Boltshauser at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich - an environment in which the use of earth as a sustainable building material is actively researched, planned and implemented in real projects.
Felix is a speaker at home and abroad and has given numerous specialist lectures and published papers in which he advocates the innovative and responsible use of clay and other regenerative building materials.
