Gerald Kador Folkvord
Gerald is a Political Adviser and Human Rights Education Coordinator at Amnesty International’s office in Oslo, Norway. Gerald is originally from Austria, where he started working with Amnesty and human rights education in the 1990s. Over the last two decades, he has spent much of his time on engaging with both adult and young audiences to help them develop a better understanding of human rights and enable them to use and defend them. Gerald is also Amnesty Norway’s expert on human rights issues related to security measures, policing and armed conflict, including torture and transfer of military, security and police equipment. He has also worked on issues related to economic, social and cultural rights, especially the right to housing.
