About me

Gregor Schwerhoff is an economist in the Structural and Climate Policies Division of the IMF’s Research Department. His research covers various aspects of climate policy, with a particular focus on the welfare implications of carbon pricing and the benefits of leadership in climate policy. After his PhD from the University of Bonn, Germany, he worked several years as a researcher in climate economics. He then joined the World Bank to integrate climate economics into macroeconomic modeling and joined the IMF in 2020.
