About me

Ph. D., Chercheure d’établissement | CREGÉS | DAAER | CIUSSS CCOMTL | Professeure associée | Département de sociologie | Université de Montréal

I am an institutional researcher at the Centre de recherche et d'expertise en gérontologie sociale (CREGÉS) of CIUSSS Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal (Montreal, Canada), and an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at Université de Montréal. My research focuses on the end-of-life of the elderly, as well as on caregiving and bereavement. Committed to transferring the results of my research into practical applications (such as through offering interactive workshops on providing support to a person who has life threatening illness at home, training on the cartography of factors influencing caregivers’ experiences of loss, etc.), I am currently leading a research project aimed, ultimately, at creating a shared decision-making tool on the choice of home as the place of death.
