About me

Jorge Guerrero is an international consultant with 18 years of experience in the housing sector, focusing on public policy, international organizations, and sustainable housing finance. He served as General Coordinator at Mexico’s National Housing Commission (CONAVI) and as a specialist in international organizations at Sociedad Hipotecaria Federal, where he was responsible for designing and implementing the ECOCASA Program. He coordinated the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Sustainable Housing (RedLAC) and led Mexico’s national sustainable housing policy. Jorge has developed various projects in sustainable housing, urban development, and housing finance products across Latin America and the Caribbean with the IDB. He holds a degree in Actuarial Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a master’s in Economics from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE), and pursued graduate studies in Finance at ITAM. He has contributed to several publications, including the State of Housing in Mexico and IDB reports on Social Housing focused on addressing key challenges in Brazil.
