Judi received her degree in Physical Education at the University of Western Ontario and then went on to complete her Physical Therapy degree, MSc and PhD in the Department of Anatomy at Queen’s University. She has previously taught Anatomy and Physical Therapy courses at Queen’s University and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Toronto.
Currently she is a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Anatomy, Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. She is the course director for the Anatomy for Dentistry course as well as the first year Anatomy course for Kinesiology. She contributes in the Structure and Function and Brain and Behaviour blocks for first year medical students and coordinates the ANA300 summer course, when it is offered. Her research interests involve functional anatomy and rehabilitation, specifically for musculoskeletal conditions.
Judi also is an educational consultant at Osteoporosis Canada and has developed an integrated workshop, Bone FitTM, to provide leading edge, hands-on training to exercise and health professionals on how to assess, prescribe and adapt safe exercise for clients with Osteoporosis. As the Head Trainer for the Bone FitTM Training Program, she has conducted over 40 weekend workshops and trained over 500 exercise and health professionals to date across Canada.
