Kaori Sano is an Assistant Professor of Japanese Language at Waseda University. Her research spans both communities and Higher education and has focused on the reflection theory approaches to inquiry learning Japanese. She obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Ochanomizu University in Tokyo. She has over 15 years of experience teaching Japanese in both in Japan and abroad in the U.S. and Europe. She has also published textbook chapters and publications on Japanese language education.
