Karel is Assistant Professor of Structural Design and Safety in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at TU Delft and Coordinator of Structural Safety at Delft Safety and Security Institute.
His PhD from TU Delft in 2014 was based on human and organizational factors influencing structural safety.
