Louis Downing

Louis Downing is a sustainability and resilience expert and the Chief Operating Officer of the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation. Louis managed the development of SuRe® - The Standard for Sus-tainable and Resilient Infrastructure and has 10 years’ experience in the fields of design engineering, post conflict and emergency engineering as well as capacity building and managing participatory stakeholder processes. Louis has worked in regions including Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe. More recently, Louis has begun working in the topic of finance for sustainable infrastructure, including working on data driven approaches to increase the business case for sustainable investing.
