Sheikha Maryam Abdulla N J Al Thani

Maryam Abdulla Al Thani is working at Qatar University Library as Head of Reference and Information Services. The work in the Library revolves around retrieving information, supporting users in their search for information, and other research requirements for the library users. Previously, Maryam worked in the oil and gas sector dealing with data analysis related to the oil industry. In relation to academic studies, Maryam graduated with a BA in International Relations from Qatar University and a master’s degree from the University College of London in Library and Information Studies. The focus of the dissertation was on the information-seeking behavior of employees in the energy sector in Qatar. Also, projects and research related to the Gulf region, specifically dealing with Qatar is part of her academic interests which are influenced by her studies.
