WB senior specialist in public debt management at World Bank
Matías R. Hervera is a senior specialist in public debt management and financial markets with over fifteen years of experience. Since 2024, he has joined the Long-Term Finance global unit of the World Bank, focusing on government securities and capital market development across multiple counties. Prior to this, he was a senior official at the Debt Management Office of Argentina, where he had diverse roles involving the design, structuring, and valuation of securities issuances in both international and domestic markets. His work also covered liability management operations, derivatives transactions and market intelligence. In addition, he has been involved in international consultancy, providing technical assistance on macro-fiscal policy, debt sustainability, and financial analysis. Mr. Hervera studied economics at Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) in Argentina.
