Senior Lecturer of Information Systems at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business
Michael Collins is a Senior Lecturer of Information Systems at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington. He brings a lot of experience to his teaching having spent more than 20 years working in the IT industry as a technologist, manager, director, independent consultant, and President of World View Multimedia. Michael’s teaching interests include analysis and design of digital systems, agile systems development, low code development, data management, IT management, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, and business analytics. He holds certifications in rapid application development, front-end web development, advanced robotic process automation, and is a certified scrum master.
Michael currently serves as the chair of the IT Professional Opportunities for Development group at Kelley which provides career opportunities for high achieving IS students. He also serves on the school’s teaching excellence committee and Indiana University’s technology policy committee. Michael’s teaching has been recognized through the receipt of several awards including the Innovative Teaching Award in 2017, the Trustees Teaching Award in 2020, and the Mumford Excellence in Extraordinary Teaching Award in 2021.
